This is not a big, major update but as I’m getting ready to ramp up writing content for the site, I wanted to spruce up a couple of pages that were in need of, uh, sprucing up. One of which was the archive page. I wanted to simplify this page while at the same time allowing it to show more content at once in order to create a more distraction-free experience for you.
I decided to do this is because I see a lot of people asking journalism-focused websites and blogs if there is a simple page with a list of posts in reverse-chronological order in order to more easily keep up with the latest content. As someone who leans toward minimalism themselves, I totally get that. And I wanted to provide that on Cyberpunkery.
So as you can see, the new archive page is one full-width page with three columns showing the articles in a grid-based layout. There is no sidebar or any other featured sections for the distraction-free experience many enjoy.
You will also notice a nice topic filter in the header, allowing you to select between Cyberpunkery’s main topics. This is the same filter I use on the home page. This will hopefully allow you to view the archive more easily based on the content you are most interested in.
Like I said, not a huge update but I rather like it so I wanted to write a little something about it. I’m excited to be working on the site again. I can’t wait to show you what else I have planned going forward!
