Well here’s a unique concept for a game that I don’t think I’ve heard before. If you’re a fan of both video games and cyberpunk books, you’re in luck. NeonLore is a sort of open-world exploration game meets audio book experience due out next week. The game is being released by indie developer/publisher Playstige Interactive.

NeonLore takes place from a first-person perspective. In the game you explore a really cool looking cyberpunk city while meeting various characters. In speaking to the characters, you learn more about them and who they are. There also seem to be some puzzle solving elements as well.

NeonLore is a first-person free-form exploration game. You’ll meet interesting characters and discover what has happened to the human race in the near future.

In NeonLore you will solve puzzles and encounter various characters and learn about their past life, dreams, and fears and get a chance to discover deeper about the social transformations that have impacted human life in the 21st century. You will also have access to 4 different audiobooks that contain 4 different cyber-punk-themed novels, written exclusively for this game by sci-fi authors. You will enjoy listening to them while continuing to explore the vistas…

Press Release

There is one fascinating aspect of NeonLore that sets it apart from other games. While playing this game you will unlock cyberpunk audio books that you listen to while exploring the environment. Seriously. According to the press release, there are four cyberpunk novels throughout NeonLore’s world that have been written exclusively for this game by various sci-fi authors. Who are these authors? We don’t know, but we’re fascinated to learn more. I guess I’ll have to file this article under ‘books and literature’ as well as ‘games.’

It’s a really interesting concept for a game that I can’t say I’ve ever heard of before. NeonLore is due out on April 20th and will be released for Switch, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The environments look nice and the idea is unusual, so I’m looking forward to hearing some new cyberpunk books while exploring this badass looking city.

A person who obviously loves cyberpunk stuff. He created Cyberpunk Chronicle to talk about all the cyberpunk stuff. He also loves old video games, old electronic music, and coffee. He really likes coffee a lot.
